In his early years Greg learned to identify trees in managed forests throughout Connecticut. He has a comprehensive knowledge of the characteristics of wood and the various uses specific to each species. Every piece of furniture and cabinetry is made with these locally harvested trees.  Greg has forged relationships with local tree experts and sawyers. The process of milling, that is, using machinery to alter a piece of wood into a desired shape, thickness and squareness is second nature to Greg. He only uses fine quality hardware and fitments with time tested and honored methods of production. His creative process is meticulous and every piece he finishes is imbued with his love and respect for nature using wood responsibly and sustainably. A native New Englander, Greg lives in Branford, Connecticut  with his wife Valerie, former owners of the popular Stony Creek Market.
